Target: Low-sulfidation epithermal gold mineralization intercepted in historic drilling with no follow up programs completed to date
Status: Available for joint venture
Location: The Ted property is located in Mineral County, Nevada 12 miles southeast of the Rawhide Mine (~1.4 Moz Au produced) in a similar structural setting.
History: The property was explored by drilling in the mid-1980s. Ten holes, all less than 305 feet in depth, were completed, most of which encountered anomalous gold.
Geology: The Ted project area is underlain by strongly altered volcanics containing structurally-controlled NW trending silicified ribs. Gold mineralization is associated with a northwest trending silicified rib which cores a 2.5 km long structurally controlled kaolinite-dominant alteration cell. Elevated gold mineralization coincides with intense silicification, which locally has a leached or vuggy texture. Gold intercepted in shallow historic drilling, together with the presence of gold-bearing illitic alteration exposed in incised canyons, suggests the productive portion of the system is at shallow depths. Historic drilled mineralization remains open to the south and at depth.
